We’re Mridul + Manthan Charles, the brothers and co-founders of Tribal Culture. As artists with backgrounds in photography and cinematography, we’ve merged our love for creativity with craftsmanship. Based in India, we specialize in manufacturing, trading, and exporting ceramics and terracotta products.

Who we are

Since 2019, Tribal Culture has been reimagining the age-old craft of terracotta with a modern approach, bringing timeless clay traditions into today’s lifestyle. From our workspace nestled in the forests near Kanha National Park, we blend the raw beauty of nature with clean, contemporary designs that fit effortlessly into modern homes across the world.

Our team of around 16 tribal artisans carries forward generations of traditional knowledge, while adapting to new ideas, forms, and global preferences. Every piece is still handmade, but thoughtfully designed to match today’s aesthetics minimal, functional, and relevant.

We focus on creating eco-friendly, sustainable terracotta products and proudly export them worldwide. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design thinking, we are not just preserving heritage, but evolving it for the future.

Our Purpose

Tribal Culture envisions a future where traditional practices help fight plastic waste and provide sustainable jobs for local youth. We're focused on building skills, creating livelihoods, and expanding the use of local pottery, all while growing production to make a positive impact on both people and the planet.
